So after a long blog break...here are some updates of the happenings in the Hogue Household. More will be coming within the next couple of days. Trying to catch up!
Aiden's 2nd Birthday party was on July 11th. The theme was "Let's Have a Ball!" and we decorated with beach balls. We decided to have it at one of the local parks that had a splash pad and a playground. Norman got there really early that morning to try and get the pavilion for us. Unfortunately, another group was already there decorating, but they said we could have half of it. Which I thought was nice...but it turns out the other group just decorated and then left only to come back way later that afternoon/evening. I don't really understand why they just didn't let us have the whole thing and then come back at the end of our party to decorate! It sort-of irritated me, but what can you do. Anyways, the party started at ten in the morning. The kids played and had fun in the water and the playground. Then we grilled some hot dogs and sausage wraps and ate lunch. Considering it was supposed to get up to 102 that day, it wasn't too bad that morning. Luckily, the park has really nice shade that kept us all cool. Aiden (and his friends) seemed to have a great time, and I deemed the party more successful then his first. There were too many pictures to chose from, since my dad took pictures and then Kristyn took pictures with my camera for me. So I made a little slide show. ENJOY!
