Update on Aiden

I decided that it was time that we post an update on Aiden. He is doing well and is off of the IV and antibiotics. So basically they are keeping him in the NICU to monitor him being off of everything. They told us today that he will get to come home on Thursday morning. So tomorrow night Norman and I will go to the hospital and stay the night with Aiden in our room and then get to bring him home on Thursday.

While we have gone to visit him several times here are some of the things that we have noticed:
1. He looks mostly like his mother.
2. He has his dad's ears.
3. He really enjoys being swaddled.
4. He has no lack of appetite. He has already gained 2 1/2 ounces. He seems to like the formula he is getting....so we hope that the transition to breastmilk will come easily.
5. He likes to suck on his fingers or really anything that comes near his mouth. (I think he got this tendency from his dad.)

I am doing well. Recovery from the c-section hasn't been too bad. The first 24 hours are the hardest. Each day gets easier after that.

Well, that is all we have for now. We will be posting more as soon as we get our sweet baby boy home on Thursday. :)
