Here is Aiden in the Nursery snuggled up with his black lab. The nurses had a little trouble wrestling it away from him when they needed to check him.
This is a shot from dad's short visit to the NICU Friday night. He is all hooked up.
By midday Saturday, Aiden had stabilized his breathing and had his umbilical cord catheter removed (his thick blood had normalized). Also, he received many visitors from his extended family and friends. Finally around 1:30 PM, Mom was able to visit him for the first time since the birth and overly enjoyed the bonding time. She was also able to hold him and give him his second bottle around 6:30 PM.
On Sunday morning, both Mom and Dad took turns holding Aiden and Brooke fed him another bottle. The NICU nurses were awesome and said that he had slept well overnight and had no problems feeding (if anything, he wanted more...). Well this is all for now, I (Norman) need to get some lunch and get back to the hospital to Mom and son. We have been truly blessed! Brooke is scheduled to be released tomorrow, but Aiden will have to wait until Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning. He has to finish the antibiotics that he started.
