By the second day, with more sleep during the night (even with all the nurses visits, breathing treatments, and snot sucking) Addisyn was feeling much better. She was happy for the most part and ready to get down and play. It was quite a struggle/challenge to keep her entertained and happy. We ended up watching a movie or two in bed and walking around in one little area. The doctor came by that morning and said that she would be fine to go home that afternoon. So we spent most of the day waiting around. We finally were able to get released around 4:30 yesterday after. We were all exhausted, especially mama who had had little/no sleep on Wednesday night and had to share a bed in the hospital Thursday night (so hard to sleep in the hospital anyway). I was also fighting off a little cold. Needless to say I feel asleep in the couch around 8:00 last night.
The diagnoses: asthma (probably brought on by the rain/weather). We are now doing some preventative care with at least one breathing treatment daily. And more if needed. We obviously hope that this will be our only hospital stay, but you never know with asthma.
We are so thankful to my parents who watched Aiden, spent time with me in the hospital, and brought me food. (Norman was out of town at a conference.) Also, my wonderful friends who kept Aiden some on Friday. And the many church people who came and visited us in the hospital and prayed with us.
Here are a couple pics from Friday:
