Addisyn is 1!

Can't hardly believe that it has been a year since Addisyn's birth. She is such a joy to our family and we are so immensely blessed to have her.

* We haven't gone for her 1 year appointment yet, but we had to take her to the doctor just this week and she weighed around 23 pounds. She isn't very tall.

* Addisyn wears size 4 diapers (and has for a while now). Mostly wears size 12 - 18 month

clothes. The pants are often long if they are of the legging type.

* She is a walker! She took her first steps on the 10th of December and was walking the majority of the time by Christmas. I honestly felt like she could have walked sooner, but she was cautious and took her time to start, but didn't look back once she did.

* Poor girl has had 3 ear infections. One every month since October. We haven't had one YET this month. But if she does the doctor has already mentioned tubes! This week we went to the doctor thinking she was not over an ear infection and it turned out she had a very mild case of RSV. So we have had the fun job of doing breathing treatments. Thank goodness she will sit for about 15 minutes while watching Baby Einstein.

* She is a good eater for the most part. She loves fruit and will often try things off of our plates. She doesn't really like for us to feed her anymore, but will normally tolerate yogurt being given to her in the morning.

* She has NO teeth! Yes, you read that right. NONE! Keep thinking those suckers should be coming in any day now. (Aiden was a late teether also, around 9 - 10 months.) When she finally gets teeth we will be able to try more options in the food area!

* Addisyn loves to read books. She also loves to tear the paper if it is not a board book! Her current favorites are Ten in the Bed, Wheels on the Bus, and Animal Sounds.

* While she is definitely a mama's girl, she does go into the nursery or childcare at church easily and seems to have a good time with her friends.

* She says mama, dada, Aiden, bye-bye, the g sound for dog, the k sound for book, and uh for uh-oh.

* She has recently started pointing at things.

* Addisyn loves dogs and will chase them and try to pet them whenever she sees them. She also gets really excited and kicks her legs and smiles like crazy when we see them.

* She LOVES Aiden and although he pesters her she comes back for more and adores him.
