We are home!

We are back from our trip to Missouri, and had a wonderful time visiting with family. I will post more about our trip soon.

Here is a quick funny story (or at least now funny story) about something that happened today:

Aiden and I were working together to get some of our things put away from our trip, when I decided to take a couple of things out to the car. Of course, Aiden wanted to help, so we stepped out into the garage and put them in the car. I was still putting something away when Aiden decided to run back into the house and shut the door....which he often does. I had thought to myself quickly it would be bad if he decided to lock the deadbolt on the door, which he can reach, but I dismissed it quickly thinking that he probably wouldn't do it...I WAS WRONG. Yep, Aiden locked the door! So I told him to unlock the door, in which he tried to unlock the lock on the door knob not the deadbolt. I repeatedly kept telling him to unlock the top. Trying not to panic I told him to go get a chair thinking maybe he could reach it better. The whole time he is saying "Mommy help!" meaning he wanted me to do it. Finally after about 2 minutes or so, he got the door open. I knocked him over in my effort to try and push it open. We both recovered....after a little talk about not locking the door and praise for opening it on his own. Hopefully that will not happen again!

Matt locked me out of the house one day when he was little and I had to have someone driving by call the cops and they had to come unlock the door.

On our trip to Alaska Elizabeth locked all of us out of the truck. Rob had to bribe her with a $1 to unlock it.
