It's the Little Things

I like to decorate (and organize)...and constantly move little things around the house, much to Norman's dismay. I had been looking for a new more "boyish" lamp for Aiden's room for some time now. I found a cute car one at Target that I really liked but wasn't willing to spend the $30 they were asking for it. So I when I found this blue lamp shade and black base for $5.99 each, I figured that was a deal I could afford. I also finally got around to painting the wood airplane that had been sitting on the dresser for some time now. Norman had made the airplane while in college and I have always loved it in Aiden's room, it just needed some paint to spruce it up a bit. So below is a picture of Aiden's dresser now.

So after finishing up Aiden's dresser, I was wondering what to do with the little lamp that was in Aiden's room. I already have three lamps in the living room and it wouldn't fit anywhere else. I had been thinking of a way to make the laundry room a little more inviting...weird I know. So I found this cute basket at Marshall's and put the lamp in it with the dryer sheets. I really like having the extra little light in the laundry room.

So it's these little things that made me happy on this wet, rainy, and cold day. Of course this "little" guy was around also...
