Baylor Homecoming

Obviously neither Norman or I are Baylor Alumni, but when we had the opportunity to go to the Baylor Homecoming Parade with some friends we took it, figuring Aiden would enjoy it. We got there at 7:45 in the morning, and it was already packed. We meet our friends on the way to where they usually sit and waited for the parade to start. While waiting Aiden (and dad) had a fun time running up and down the hill that was right behind where we sit.
As the parade time got closer, Aiden and his friend Price took to playing with the rope and running around in the street.
Finally, the parade made it to campus and this was one of the first things we saw, the big Baylor Bear balloon. There were a couple of these big balloons that Aiden really seemed to like. There was also the real bear that is the Baylor mascot, unfortunately I didn't get a picture of it.
They also had many floats that the various student organizations and sororities/fraternities had made. This one was the Jungle Book themed.
And of course this float overheated right by us and they spent several minutes trying to figure out what to do.
Finally they decided that pushing it would be the best course of action.
This was too funny...a coffin with a OSU Cowboy inside.
And of course you have your monster trucks. I thought it was rather incredible that they were able to do this....look closely at their tires.
Lastly, here are a couple of pictures that Kristy took of Aiden and his friends Price and Kayleigh.

Aiden really seemed to have a good time. He sit quietly on my lap for about 3/4 of the parade and then got rather bored and wiggly. He also discovered a love for candy. He wouldn't really try much of it before, beside a sucker. He tried and really liked Smarties and Nerds. Halloween will definitely be more fun!
