Mom

Lately, Aiden has been calling me mom instead of mama. He will often run around the house looking for me while yelling "MOM". If Norman gives him a bath in the evening, whenever he gets out and is getting dried off and dressed, he will yell "MOM" over and over until I come in there. It makes me laugh but it also makes me smile. Although being a mom is often one of the hardest and most frustrating jobs I have ever had, it is also the most rewarding.

So on this Mother's Day I am thankful for:

1. All my "mom" friends - who help me get through almost every day by getting together or talking on the phone (girls you know who you are), without whom I would probably go crazy.

2. Of course my own mom - who has given me advise, a listening ear, and free babysitting more times then I can count.

3. Most importantly for this handsome son of mine - whom without I would not be a mom.

Happy Mother's Day!

Will's been experminting with "mom" as well. He's called me Mommy for the last 9 months or so but recently has been trying to get me to respond to "mom." I'm always quick to correct him back to "Mommy!" Mom just sounds way too grown up for me!!!
